Superscript can also be added by clicking on the superscript button in the ‘Font’
group of the ‘Home’ tab.

Follow these steps to add a subscript.

1. Type NO2 and select 2.
2. Click on the Font dialog box launcher on the ‘Home’ tab.

3. You will see the ‘Font’ dialog box.
4. Select Subscript in the ‘Eff ects’ section.

5. Click on the OK button. You will see that NO2 will change to NO , where 2 is placed

below the base line.
