Applying Superscripts and Subscripts

Superscripts are the letters or digits that are shown a little above the normal or base line,

e.g., x . Subscripts are the letters or digits shown a little below the normal or base line,
e.g., O .

Follow these steps to add a superscript.
1. Type K4 and select 4.

2. Click on the Font dialog box launcher on the ‘Home’ tab.

3. You will see the ‘Font’ dialog box.

4. Select Superscript in the ‘Eff ects’ section.

5. Click on the OK button. You will see that K4 will change to K , where 4 is placed
above the base line.
