Follow these steps to use Action buttons.
1. Open an existing presentation. Click on the Shapes command in the ‘Illustrations’ group
of the ‘Insert’ tab.

2. Select the desired Action
button from the ‘Action
Buttons’ category displayed
at the bottom of the
displayed list in the drop-
down menu. Clicking on the
Action Button: Go to End
option changes the mouse
pointer into ‘+’ shape.
3. Click and drag the mouse
diagonally. You will see the
‘Action Settings’ dialog box
on releasing the mouse
button. This contains two tabs: Mouse Click and
Mouse Over. Step 1

 Mouse Click tab is activated by default. It makes
the Action button work only when it is clicked.
 The Mouse Over tab makes the Action button
work when the mouse is moved over it.
4. Select Hyperlink to: radio button in the ‘Action on
Click’ section on the ‘Mouse Click’ tab.

5. Click on the drop-down arrow and select any
option like Previous slide, First slide or Last slide
from the menu.
6. Click on Other File option from the ‘Hyperlink
to:’ list to connect to a fi le that is created in other
program.

7. Select the Play sound checkbox to play sound
when an Action button is clicked.
