Cleanliness and Personal Hygiene
We know that cleanliness is important for our health and well-being. If we do
not keep ourselves clean, we may fall sick. Dirt and germs are the main causes
of several diseases. Therefore, it is important to maintain proper hygiene. The act
of taking good care of our health by keeping our body clean is called personal
hygiene. It is as important as food and water are for us.
We can maintain personal hygiene by adopting certain good habits. Some of the
healthy hygienic habits are mentioned below.
Hand hygiene
Hand washing is one of the most important parts of
good hygiene. Washing hands before and after having
meals, after playing with pets or in the dirt, and after
using the toilet are the best ways to prevent the spread
of germs and diseases. So, make a habit of washing your
hands properly and wiping them with clean cloth to be
