•  A good sleep gives us rest. Our body needs proper sleep of eight hours per day
                       to stay fresh and energetic.

                    •  Daily exercise keeps us active. It makes our body strong and fl exible. Yoga,

                       aerobics, swimming, cycling and running are some forms of exercise. They keep
                       us fi t and strong.

                       Make a list of exercises you can do to keep your body strong and fl exible.




                    Cleanliness in the Surroundings


                    Besides personal hygiene and cleanliness, we should keep our surroundings also
                    clean to be healthy. Keeping the surroundings clean is the responsibility of each

                    and every person living at home or in the society. Therefore, we must know the
                    causes that make our surroundings dirty and the ways to improve it.


                    Causes of unhealthy surroundings


                    Various human activities add dirt and harmful pollutants to the environment
                    and make it unhealthy. Some of these activities include use of polythene bags,

                    spitting, and dumping of garbage and wastes here and there. These pollutants
                    spread germs and make the environment unfi t for us. Some indicators of unhealthy

                    environment are polluted air, land and waterbodies.
