Learn How A Solar Cooker Works

Make and understand the working of a solar cooker.

You Need:

A shoe box with cover, aluminium foil, a transparent plastic wrap, black colour paint or spray,
glue, scissors, ruler, a cardboard piece bigger than the shoe box.

What to Do:
• Take the empty shoe box and cover its inner side with
the aluminium foil completely using glue.
• Now paint only the bottom of the box with black paint

or spray.
• Take the cardboard piece and draw a rectangle on it
that is smaller than the base of the shoe box.

• Now cut out the rectangle and cover the remaining part
with the transparent plastic wrap. This will act as a lid.
• Cover the inner side of the shoe box cover with the
aluminium foil.
• Keep the ruler to set the angle of the cover of the shoe box to trap the sunlight for cooking.
