                    Read the following lines from the poem again. Pay attention to the sounds made by the
                    highlighted words.
                       ‘It was the English,’ Kaspar cried,

                       ‘Who put the French to rout;

                       But what they fought each other for,

                       I could not well make out;’

                    The words rout and out are rhyming words because they have the same ending sounds.
