7. Click on the Preview button in the ‘Preview’ group to view the eff ects applied
on the selected slide.

Adding Transition Effects

The way one slide follows the other on the screen during the slide show is called transition.
Transition eff ects can be applied to a single slide as well as to all the slides.
Follow these steps to apply transition eff ects.

1. Select the slide on which Step 1
transition eff ects need to
be applied.
2. Click on the Transitions
tab.

3. You will see the ‘Transition
to This Slide’ group on the
Ribbon displaying various
transition eff ects.
4. Click on the More drop-
down arrow to display all
the transition eff ects.
5. Select the desired transition eff ect from the displayed list.

6. A preview of the selected eff ect will be displayed on the selected slide.
7. Select the Eff ect Options in the ‘Transitions to This Slide’ group to choose the desired
eff ect from the displayed list. This option remains deactivated for some transitions like
Curtains and Prestige.

8. Click on the drop-down arrow of the Sound option in the
‘Timing’ group and select the desired sound eff ect.
9. Click on the Preview button to observe the eff ect.
