Diseases Related to Our Food Habits and Lifestyle

                    Unhealthy food and lifestyle habits are the main causes of several diseases.  These
                    unhealthy habits include eating lots of junk food, and lack of exercise and other physical
                    activities. Diseases that are associated with the way people live their life are called lifestyle

                    diseases. Obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, anaemia and several heart diseases are
                    the most common lifestyle diseases. Let’s know about some of them.


                    Obesity

                    Obesity is an unhealthy condition of being very fat or overweight. It is mainly caused
                    due to overeating, eating unhealthy food and reduced physical activities. It has become
                    a major health concern among children and adults. Over a period of time, these people

                    may develop other lifestyle diseases such as heart diseases and diabetes.
                    Symptoms: Unhealthy weight gain, laziness, breathing problems, increased sweating

                    and diffi  culty in doing daily activities are some common symptoms of obesity.

                    Diabetes

                    Diabetes is a condition where the body fails to utilise the sugar present in blood. It is

                    the fastest growing lifestyle diseases among people. Obesity, stress and lack of physical
                    activity are the major causes of diabetes. Excess sugar in the blood can lead to other
                    diseases like heart diseases and blood pressure.

                    Symptoms: Increased thirst, hunger and urination are the main symptoms associated
                    with diabetes. Other symptoms may include tiredness and weight loss.


                    High blood pressure

                    High blood pressure is also knows as  hypertension. It is a growing health problem
                    in children and adults. High blood pressure is usually caused due to obesity, lack of
                    exercise, disturbed sleep, stress and too much intake of salty food. It may lead to other

                    health-related problems such as heart diseases, stroke and kidney diseases.

                    Symptoms: High blood pressure usually has no clear symptoms. But in some people,
                    it may cause headache, confusion, dizziness, vision problem, chest pain, breathing
                    diffi  culties and irregular heartbeat.


                    Anaemia

                    Anaemia is a condition in which a person suff ering from it looks pale and often feels weak
                    or dizzy. This is because of lack of iron in the diet which is required for the formation of
                    blood in the body.
