Prevention of lifestyle diseases
An easy way to prevent lifestyle diseases is to bring some simple changes in our lifestyle.
Some ways by which we can prevent lifestyle diseases are as follows.
• Eat a balanced diet and avoid eating junk food that has low nutrient contents.
• Eat food in small portions and chew it properly. Never skip
a meal to stay fi t.
• Drink plenty of water to remove wastes from your body. It
also helps in absorbing nutrients from the food.
• Avoid too much intake of sugar, salt and fats in your meal.
• Maintain a healthy weight by doing regular exercise.
• Do not spend too much time watching television, working
or playing games on computer and phones.
• Get proper and suffi cient sleep of about 6–8 hours daily.
• Go for regular health check-ups to fi nd out the
status of your health.
• Do yoga and meditation to remain stress-free
and relaxed.
