Example 1: Draw a circle of radius 3 cm.

Solution: Step 1: Draw a line segment of length 3 cm using a ruler. Call it OA.

Step 2: Keep your compass at point O and open it of
length 3 cm.

Step 3: Keeping the pointed tip of the compass at O, move the other end
with the pencil in anticlockwise or clockwise direction till you reach
point A again.
