2. Divide using long division method and check your answer.
                           (a) 32 ÷ 2 (b) 57 ÷ 4 (c) 76 ÷ 5 (d) 315 ÷ 6

                           (e) 728 ÷ 6 (f) 208 ÷ 5 (g) 920 ÷ 8 (h) 976 ÷ 7
                            (i) 906 ÷ 9 (j) 415 ÷ 2 (k) 521 ÷ 3 (l) 429 ÷ 4

                    Solving Word Problems

Example 9: A school football club has 30 children in it. The members of the club want to
form teams with 5 children in each team. How many teams can they form?
Solu on: Total children in football club = 30

Number of children in 1 team = 5
                                  Number of teams that can be formed = 30 ÷ 5 = 6

So, 6 teams consis ng of 5 children each can be formed.

                    Framing Word Problems

To frame a word problem on a given division statement, we proceed in the same manner
as we do for mul plica on.

                    Example 10: Frame 2 word problems for 156 ÷ 6.

Solu on: 1. 156 marbles have to be kept in 6 boxes such that each box contains equal
number of marbles. How many marbles will be there in each box?
                                  2. Among how many children will 156 toff ees be distributed, so that each of
                                      them gets 6 toff ees?

                              Exercise 6.7

                      1. Solve the given word problems.
                           (a) 125 students are going for a school camp. If one tent can accommodate

                           (b) Ms Verma bought 207 chocolate bars. She packed 7 chocolate bars each in
small packets to give to children who come for her daughter’s birthday party.
How many packets does she make? Are there any le over chocolate bar? If so,
how many chocolate bars are le ?

                            (c) A vegetable grocer packs 10 carrots in a bag. How many bags will he need to
