                    -ish can be added to the end of many nouns to form adjectives.

                                 blue – bluish     red – reddish     child – childish
                    Bluish means ‘fairly blue’, ‘almost blue’ or ‘like blue’. Adjectives with an -ish suggest
                    an approximate quality.

                    When -ish is added to the name of a country, it means ‘belonging to that country’.
