Need of water
Water is very essential for every living being. Water helps in absorption
of food and nutrients in the intestine, which are finally utilised by our
body. Without water our body cannot absorb nutrition.
Water is also required by large intestine to form faeces from the
undigested food and to expel wastes out of the body. Body fl ushes
out wastes in the form of urine and sweat also because of water.
Not drinking suffi cient water causes constipation, where it becomes diffi cult to expel
faeces out of the body. Levels of salt and waste may increase in the body because of
decreased excretion. This causes many health problems. Thus, drinking water is very
important to maintain a healthy life.
