All objects have mass. Mass is the quantity
that tells us how heavy or light an object is. For example, eraser, sharpener and
scale are light in weight while book, bag and water bottle are heavy.
All objects occupy space. For example, clothes occupy space in the cupboard,
books occupy space on the table and you occupy space on the chair.
Anything that has mass and occupies space is called matter. It includes both living
and non-living things. Everything around us is matter.
