                      1. The average of 5 observations of a data is 28. What will be the new average, if each observation
                        increases by 3.

                      2. A data is represented by a bar graph having 3 bars each of different heights. If the height of one
of the bars represents the mean of the data, which of the following is true? Give reasons for each
                        option.

                         (a) The mean of data is equal to the mean of the heights of the remaining two bars.
                         (b) The height of the tallest bar represents the median of the data.

                      3. There are 14 observations in a data. The mean of the first 7 observations is 4 and the mean of
the remaining 7 observations is 6. Find the mean of the data.
                      4. The mean and median of 2, 8, 5, x and 7 have the same value. Find x if it is the largest observation
                        in the given data.

                      5. While calculating the mean of a data, Annu took 78 as 87 and 65 as 56 by mistake. If she calculated
the mean as 73, what is the actual mean of the data?

Conduct a survey and prepare a list of months in which each student of your class is born,
i.e., the month in which their birthday falls. Represent this information in a table using tally
marks. Construct a pictograph and a bar graph for the same.
