‘Quick Access Toolbar’ to save the

Creating a Query in Design View

A query is based on tables, other queries or a combination of both. The Design view gives us
more control over a query.
Follow these steps to create a query. Step 1 Step 2

1. Click on the Create tab on the
‘Ribbon’.
2. Click on the Query Design button
in the ‘Queries’ group.

Step 3

3. A ‘Show Table’ dialog box will appear. In this box, select a
table on which the query will run.
4. Click on the Add button and then click on the Close button.

5. The selected table will appear as Step 6
a small window displaying a list of Step 5
fi elds.
6. Double-click on the fi elds that you
want to add in the query.
