Components of PowerPoint 2016
Microsoft PowerPoint window has many components.
Let’s discuss about the various components of MS PowerPoint.
Title Bar: It is located at the top of the window and shows
the name of the currently opened presentation.
File Tab: A menu appears when we click on the File tab. This menu is used
to perform tasks like creating a new presentation, opening an existing
presentation, saving and printing a presentation.
Quick Access Toolbar: This toolbar provides access to the
frequently used commands. It is placed at the extreme left
corner of the Title Bar.
Ribbon: This is a strip of buttons across the top of the main window. It displays diff erent
tabs. Here we fi nd access to everything the program has to off er. Each tab contains
command groups including command buttons to perform various actions.
Tabs: They are located below the Title bar. Various tab buttons are File, Home, Insert,
Design, Transitions, Animations, Slide Show, Review, View and Help.
