Middle Section

The Middle Section of the Taskbar shows the programs which are being worked upon. The
commonly used programs such as Paint, Word and Internet Explorer can be added here.
The icon of the program which is in use is highlighted in the section. All the programs
present in this area can be opened by clicking on them once.

Notifi cation Area

Notifi cation Area is the right side of the Taskbar. It includes

clock and some other icons which give us the notifi cations
about various programs in use.

Changing the Desktop Background
You can change the background of the desktop by
following the given steps.

1. Right-click on the blank area of the desktop.

2. Select the Personalise option from the list of options.

3. The ‘Settings’ window will appear.

selected by default.
5. The preview of the current background is

displayed in the right pane.

6. Click on the drop-down list of the
‘Background’ list box.

7. Select any option from the list: Picture, Solid
colour, Slideshow.
