Diff erent parts of a computer help it to work. It can perform various operations at
a time. Therefore, it needs a manager which is its operating system. A software that
helps a computer system to perform various functions at a time is called the operating

system. It manages and controls diff erent parts of a computer system and other related
software. Microsoft Windows, Linux and Mac are the most commonly used operating
systems.

User Interface

User interface is the way by which a user interacts with a computer. It involves the use of
input devices and the software. There are two main types of user interface: Command
Line Interface (CLI) and Graphical User Interface (GUI).
