Moving and Grouping Tiles

Tiles can be moved from one place to other in the Start menu by dragging it to the

desired position. These tiles can then be grouped by following the given steps.
1. Drag a tile to the bottom of the right pane in the ‘Start’ menu.

2. You will see a horizontal bar with the heading ‘Name’ group on the left side. You will
also see two horizontal lines on its right.

3. Click on the Name group to add a name. Add the tiles in this group.
4. Drag the two small lines to the desired position in order to move the whole group

of tiles.

Shutting Down a Computer

Once you have completed your work, follow these
steps to turn off the computer.

1. Click on the Start button.

2. Click on the Power button and select the Shut

down option from the list.
3. Switch off the monitor button.

4. Switch off the UPS. Step 2
5. Switch off the main power supply button. Step 1

Power Button

The Power button in the Start menu gives us three

options: Sleep, Shut down and Restart.
• Sleep: It allows the computer to stay on in low

power mode so that when the computer opens
the user can start working from where he/she left.

• Shut down: It closes all programs and turns off the
computer.

• Restart: It closes all programs, turns off the
computer and then turns it on again.
