                     •   Human migration is the process through which people move from a permanent place of
                         residence to another more or less permanent one for a substantial period of time.
                     •   Immigration is the action of coming to live permanently in a foreign country, while
                         emigration is the act of leaving one’s place of residence or country to permanently live in
