                                                              Sarojini Naidu

Have you ever sailed on a river or the sea? The motion of the sea or the river sometimes makes people
fall ill; however, many sailors are addicted to the thrill which comes with the unpredictable conditions
of sailing. For fi shermen, sailing is the means of their livelihood, and they face the dangers of the sea
on a daily basis in order to earn it.

Rise, brothers, rise; the wakening skies pray to the morning light,
Th e wind lies asleep in the arms of the dawn like a child that has cried all night.
Come, let us gather our nets from the shore and set our catamarans free,
                                                                                         2
To capture the leaping wealth of the tide, for we are the kings of the sea!

of India which lies between the Eastern Ghats and the together
