                    Look at the following expression from the poem.

                         blue as the wing of a halcyon wild

                    The blue colour of the robes has been compared to the wings of a halcyon. Such a
                    comparison makes our understanding easier. This is known as a simile. A simile is a figure
                    of speech that compares two different things that have a general quality using the words as
                    or like.
