The Munchkins thanked Dorothy and gave her the witch’s magical silver shoes to keep! Although
Dorothy loved the land of the Munchkins, she longed to go back to Kansas. On her journey back,
Dorothy had several adventures and made many interesting friends.

for his works in children’s literature. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
and its sequels are particularly famous. He wrote fourteen novels in
