Johnny Appleseed was a farmer.
Suffixes are letters added at the end of a word to make a new word. For example, when we
add the suffix -er to the word farm, we get the new word farmer.
For words ending in -e, we just add -r to make the names of that profession.

Look at the following examples of forming the names of professions from verbs.
teach – teacher design – designer
bake – baker labour – labourer
B. Think of more professions that have the suffi xes -er or -r and write them in
