                    of nonsense poems.

                            i.  There was an Old Man with a beard,
                                Who said, ‘It is just as I feared!’ –
                                Two Owls and a Hen,

                                Four Larks and a Wren,
                                Have all built their nests in my beard!

                            ii.  Hey diddle, diddle,
                                The cat and the fiddle.

                    Read some more nonsense poems at the library or on the Internet. Write four or

                    fi ve lines of nonsense poetry. You are allowed to make anything happen in your
                    nonsense poem.





                           Activity


                    The old woman in the poem goes as high as the moon to clean the cobwebs.

                    There are many interes  ng expressions using the word moon. Find the meanings
                    of these expressions:


                            a.  once in a blue moon                      b.  be over the moon

                            c.  many moons ago                           d.  cry for the moon
                            e.  bark at the moon                          f.  shoot for the moon
