                    Internet

                    The  Internet is the world’s largest computer
                    network which connects several computers of
                    diff erent types belonging to various networks
                    all over the globe. The Internet can be defi ned
                    as a technology for linking local area networks
                    (LANs) into a huge global computer network. So,
                    the Internet is a network of networks.
                    We will learn about diff erent Internet services,
                    threats associated with the use of Internet and
                    e-mail that serves as an important tool of online
                    communication in this chapter.
