Create a PowerPoint presentation on the topic ‘Capital of India’. Download related pictures
from the Internet and insert in the slides. Save your work.
Steps to be Followed

• Click on Start  PowerPoint  Blank Presentation.
• When the PowerPoint application is running, and the user wants to create a new presentation,
follow these steps.
• Click on the File tab and select the New option. Click on the Blank Presentation.
• A new blank presentation will appear. Type the text related to the topic given.
• To insert a picture, click on the Insert tab and select the Pictures option from the Images group.

• The Insert Picture dialog box will appear.
• Select the folder from where the picture needs to be inserted.
• Select the desired picture fi le and click on the Insert button. You will see the picture on the
slide.
• Once you have completed the presentation, click on the File tab and select the Save option.
You can also click on the Save button on the Quick Access Toolbar.
• The Save As window will appear. Select the Browse option. You will see the Save As dialog box.

• Select the desired location to save the fi le. Type the name of the presentation in the File name
text box. Click on the Save button. Your presentation will be saved with .pptx extension.

Computer Etiquette

Never keep a computer on the edge of a table. It may fall and get damaged. Also, ensure that
there is ample space provided for diff erent parts of the computer to prevent them from any kind
of damage.
