A computer off ers the following advantages.

• Speed: A computer works very fast. It does not get tired.

• Storage Capacity: A computer can store a large amount of data and
information.

• Electronic Presentation: A computer can present information in the form
of text and pictures beautifully. This information can be shown to a few

people or a large group of people.

• Automation: A computer can automate some processes such as generating
bills. Automation speeds up the process and decreases the chances of errors.

• Calculations: A computer easily perform calculations like addition,
subtraction, multiplication and division. No mistakes are made by the

computer while performing these calculations.
• Teaching: Teachers use computers to teach in schools and colleges. A

computer can be used to show various pictures, videos and other study
material to students. It can also be used by teachers to get information on
any topic using the Internet.

• Learning: Students can use computers to get information on any topic on

the Internet. They can do their homework, assignments and projects using
computers.
