            Converting Fraction to Percentage

To convert a fraction to percentage, divide the numerator of the fraction by its denominator.
Then multiply the result by 100 and put the % sign. 0.6

            Example 5: Convert 3 to percentage. 5 3.0
                                      5 – 0 ↓
            Solution: Step 1: Divide 3 by 5. 3 ÷ 5 = 0.6 3 0

                            Step 2: Multiply the result by 100. 0.6 × 100 = 60 – 3 0
                            Step 3: Put the % sign 3 = 60% 0
                                                                      5
            Example 6: Convert 7 to percentage. 0 . 8 7 5
                                      8
            Solution: 7 ÷ 8 = 0.875 8 7 . 0 0 0

                            0.875 × 100 = 87.5 – 0 ↓
                                                                                                       7 0
                            7   = 87.5%                                                              – 6  4
                            8 6 0

            Converting Decimal to Percentage – 5 6

To convert decimal to percentage, change the decimal into fraction. Then 4 0
            multiply it by 100 and put the % sign. – 4 0
                                                                                                              0
Example 7: Convert 0.64 to percentage.

Solution: Step 1: Convert the decimal to fraction. 0.64 = 64
                                                                                                     100
                            Step 2: Multiply the fraction by 100 and put the % sign. 64 × 100 = 64%
                                                                                             100
