Litre

Litre is used for measuring large capacities like that of bottles, jugs, water tanks, etc.

Litre is written as L in short.

                                 1000 mL = 1 L or 1 L = 1000 mL

We get measuring jars of different capacities with markings on them. We can
read these markings to know the amount of liquid the jar is holding.

            Look at the given examples.

This jar has 250 mL water. This jar has 300 mL water.

9 Tick () the container that has more capacity.

              (a)

                          200 mL 500 mL 300 mL

              (b)

                          300 mL 1 L 2 L
