Kilogram

Kilogram is a bigger measure of weight. It is used to weigh heavy objects like
pumpkins, bags of rice and sugar, etc.

Kilogram is written as kg in short. RICE SUGAR

                1000 g = 1 kg or 1 kg = 1000 g

            Weighing machines

You must have seen the metal weights and balance which the local vegetable
or fruit sellers use to weigh things. The pans balance when the weights in the

two pans are the same. When the weights in the two pans are not the same,
the heavier pan moves down and the lighter one moves up.

              Some commonly
                used weights

               5 kg kg
                        2
                        2 kg kg

              500 gg
                             100
                     250 gg 100 gg
                     250
The weights are equal. The weights are not equal.
We see many types of weighing machines around us. Some of them are given
            below.

                   more than a kilogram.
