                                                               one place value but only one face value.
              1  5  6                                          For example, in 121, the face value of 1


                            The face value of 6 is 6.          is 1 and its place values are 100 and 1.

                            The place value of 6 is 6 ones or 6.

                            The face value of 5 is 5.


                            The place value of 5 is 5 tens or 50.

                            The face value of 1 is 1.

                            The place value of 1 is 1 hundred or 100.
