Look at the given examples.
1. Distribute 6 crayons equally among 3 children.
Since there are 3 children, make 3 boxes.
For each crayon given, draw a circle in the box and cross it from the
collection.
On giving 1 crayon to each child
On giving 1 more crayon to
each child
Each child gets 2 crayons. So, 6 ÷ 3 = 2.
2. Alisha wants to distribute 15 stickers equally among 5 friends.
Since there are 5 friends, make 5 boxes.
For each sticker given, draw a circle in the box and
cross it from the collection.
On giving 1 sticker to each friend
On giving 1 more sticker to each friend
Alisha still has stickers. So, she gives 1 more sticker
to each friend.
Each friend gets 3 stickers. So, 15 ÷ 5 = 3.
