                        11 : 13 and Sameer has 25% of the total of Rahul and Karan. Find the money each of them have.

                    ¾   Ratio is a relation between any two quantities of the same kind and in the same unit, which expresses
                        how many times one quantity is of the other quantity.
                    ¾   To divide a quantity a in the ratio x : y,

                        First part =      x     ×  a  and Second part =      y     ×  a

                    ¾   Four quantities are said to be in proportion if the ratio of the first to the second quantity is same as the
                        ratio of the third to the fourth quantity.
                    ¾   If three quantities a, b and c are such that a : b = b : c, then a, b and c are said to be in continued proportion.
                        The second quantity is called mean proportional and the third quantity is called third proportional.
                    ¾   When two quantities are related in such a way that an increase or decrease in the first quantity causes an
                        increase or decrease in the second quantity, then the two quantities are said to be in direct proportion.

                    ¾   When two quantities are related in such a way that an increase or decrease in the first quantity causes a
                        decrease or increase in the second quantity, then the two quantities are said to be in inverse proportion.
