                      6.  Solve the following word problems.

                            (a)  Harman buys 5 scarves each costing ` 175, 3 pairs of jeans each costing ` 525 and
                                4 T-shirts each costing ` 225. Prepare a bill for his purchases. If he had ` 5,000 with
                                him, how much money is he left with?
                           (b)  Neha started reading a storybook at half past eleven. She took 4 h 40 min to
                                completely read the book. What was the time when she finished reading the book?

                      ACTIVITY

                         Visit any two grocery shops with an adult in the nearby market. Find out and note down the
                         rates of any 10 items which you would like to purchase.
                         Make sure that you find out the rates of same items from both the shops. The quantity of each
                         item in both the shops should also be the same. Prepare two different bills for these items and
                         calculate the total amount.

                         Now answer the following questions.
                                Compare both the bills and check whether there is any difference in the prices of these

                               10 items and the total amount.
                                Which shop will you select to purchase the items and why?
