Solving Word Problems
Example 7: Shivank deposited ` 4,550 in his account on Monday. He deposited ` 2,765 on
Wednesday and ` 3,096 on Friday. How much money did he deposit in all?
Solu on: Money deposited on Monday = ` 4,550
1 2 1
Money deposited on Wednesday = ` 2,765 4 5 5 0
Money deposited on Friday = ` 3,096 2 7 6 5
Total money Shivank deposited in his account + 3 0 9 6
= ` 4,550 + ` 2,765 + ` 3,096 1 0 4 1 1
= ` 10,411
So, Shivank deposited a total of ` 10,411 in his account.
