Step 1: Take a square sheet of paper. Draw
a line in the centre of the paper
using a scale and a pencil. With
the help of your parents cut the
paper from the centre using a pair
of scissors as shown. You will obtain
two rectangles. Count the edges
and corners of the rectangles.
Step 2: Now draw a line ver cally in the
centre of a rectangle obtained by
you. With the help of your parents
cut the paper from the centre as
shown. You will obtain two squares.
Count the number of edges and
corners.
Step 3: Take a square and draw a line on it
such that two triangles are formed.
With the help of your parents cut
the paper along the do ed line. You
will obtain two triangles. Count the
number of edges and corners.
Step 4: Take a separate sheet and draw a
circle on it by Tracing the outline
of a circular object using a pencil.
With the help of your parents cut
the paper along the do ed line. You
will obtain a circle.
Step 5: Now draw a line ver cally or
horizontally in the centre of the
circle. With the help of your parents
cut the circle from the centre. You or
will obtain two semicircles.
In this way, we can cut a paper to obtain diff erent shapes.
