1. Solution: A type of liquid mixture in which two or more substances are mixed evenly
2. Solute: Substance that gets dissolved
3. Solvent: Substance in which the solute gets dissolved
4. Solubility: The ability of a substance to dissolve
5. Insoluble: Not able to dissolve
6. Sedimentation: Process of settling down at the bottom
7. Decantation: Drawing out the clear portion from top of the solution after sedimentation
8. Filtration: Separation of two substances by passing a solution through a fi lter paper
9. Evaporation: Process of heating a liquid which turns it into vapour or gas
