The thermometer is removed carefully without touching its tip, and held at the eye
level to clearly see the mercury column and the numbers. The point where the mercury
column reaches indicates the body temperature. It is read immediately after taking the
temperature.
The normal temperature of a human body ranges between 97.7–99.5°F or 36.5–37.5°C.
Doctors use thermometer to check body temperature of their patients. We also check
our body temperature when we are not well.
