        P. 154
Example 1: Identify the unit of repeat in the given patterns.
                          (a) (b) 2 2 5 1 2 2 5 1 2 2 5 1
                          (c) A C A B A C A B A C A B (d)
            Solution: (a) (b) 2 2 5 1 (c) A C A B (d)
Example 2: Look at the following arrangements to see whether they form repeating
                          patterns or not.
                          (a)
                          (b)
                          (c) 1, 7, 10, 12, 16, 19, 31, 33, 51, 60, 80
Solution: (a) In the given arrangement, the unit of repeat is a square followed by a
triangle which is then followed by a circle. Hence, it forms a repeating
                               pattern.
                          (b) Since there is no unit of repeat in the given arrangement of figures, it
does not form a repeating pattern.
                          (c) The given series of numbers does not have a unit of repeat. Hence, it
does not form a repeating pattern.
                     Exercise 11.1
              1. Circle the unit of repeat in the given patterns.
                    (a)
                   (b) 9 4 7 9 4 7 9 4 7 9 4 7
                    (c)
                   (d)
