                    Uncountable Nouns


                    Read the following sentences.

                       The shoemaker bought enough leather for two pairs of shoes with the money he got.

                       The elves have nothing to cover themselves with in this cold weather.
                    The highlighted words are examples of uncountable nouns.

                    Uncountable nouns refer to things that cannot be counted. They are always singular. For
                    example: leather, wheat, water, happiness.

                    With uncountable nouns, we use words like much, a little, little, enough or plenty of to
                    indicate quantity. We cannot use words indicating number with uncountable nouns. Some,
                    a lot of and any can be used with countable and uncountable nouns.
