You will notice that each pair of lines ends in the same sound. Now, if we assign a letter for
a rhyme, the rhyme scheme of this poem will be: aabbcc.
Let us look at another example.

A wooden spade they gave to me a
To dig the sandy shore. b
My holes were empty like a cup. c
In every hole the sea came up, c
Till it could come no more. b
The rhyme scheme of this stanza is: aabccb.
Now, read these lines and iden fy the rhyme scheme.
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
