Read the following sentences.

In the sentences above, the words and, as soon as and while are used to join the two parts
of a sentence. They are examples of conjunctions. Conjunctions are words that join
words, phrases and sentences. They are also known as connectors or joining words. Other
common conjunctions are or, but, although, as, because, if, etc.
