Words That Show Possession
Read the following sentences.
‘In all the world there is no yarn as fine as mine,’ Arachne said.
‘In all the world my yarn is the finest,’ Arachne said.
The words mine and my tell us whose the yarn was. We use words like my, mine, ours, his, her,
etc. to show possession, belonging or ownership.
Read the following table to understand the relation between person and words to show
