Function Library

Excel provides all its functions in the ‘Function Library’ group of the ‘Formulas’ tab.

Excel includes functions like Math and Trig, Text and Data
& Time. Let’s discuss the two common functions in the Think and Discuss
Math & Trig category. State the use of functions in Excel.

There is another way in which a function can be inserted. An ‘Insert Function’ button present on the
Formula bar can also be used for the same purpose.
Follow these steps to insert a function. Step 2
1. Click on the cell where you want to enter the
formula.
2. Click on the Insert Function button present on
the ‘Formulas’ tab.

3. The ‘Insert Function’ dialog box will appear.
4. You can select the category of function by

LCM

LCM function returns the least common multiple of integers.

Follow these steps to use the LCM function.
1. Enter four numbers in ‘cells A1, A2, A3 and
A4’.
