Again, there are shortcut keys that can be used

to delete files and move them to the ‘Recycle Bin’

or delete the files permanently from the PC. To
delete and move a file to the ‘Recycle Bin’, use the shortcut keys Ctrl + D. To delete a file
permanently, use the key combination Shift + Delete.

Restoring a File or Folder

Deleted fi les or folders are temporarily stored in the Recycle Bin. We can get them back
from there. This process is called restoring.
Step 1
Follow these steps to restore a fi le or folder.

1. Double-click on the Recycle Bin icon on the desktop.

2. Select the fi le or folder that has to be restored.
3. Click on the Restore the selected items option on the ‘Toolbar’ in the ‘Restore’ group.

You can also right-click on the fi le or folder that needs to be restored and select the
Restore option from the menu.
