• Graphics Interchange Format (GIF): GIF is a popular image fi le format on the web as
it is relatively smaller as compared to other compressed image types.

• Tagged Image File Format (TIFF): TIFF is a widely used image format in graphic
designing, publishing and photography industry. It is a rich format and is supported
by various imaging programs.

• Portable Network Graphics (PNG): PNG is an image fi le format especially designed for
the web.

Saving a File in Different Format

A Paint fi le is saved with .png extension by default. We can also save the fi le in any other

fi le format. Follow these steps to perform this action.
1. Click on the File tab and select the Save option. You can also click on the Save icon

on the ‘Quick Access Toolbar’.
