Drawing Callout Shapes

Callout shapes in Paint are of three types: Rounded rectangular callout, Oval callout
and Cloud callout. These callout shapes are speech balloons in which we can type text.
These shapes can also be seen in stories and comics.

Let’s learn to draw callout shapes in Paint by following these steps.

1. Click on any Callout shape in the ‘Shapes’ group.

2. Hold the left mouse button and drag the pointer to the ‘Drawing Area’.
3. Draw the selected Callout.

4. Fill the colour in the ‘Callout’ by selecting Fill with colour option in the ‘Tools’ group.
Click inside the Callout shape.

5. Add text in the ‘Callout’ by selecting the Text tool in the ‘Tools’ group. Click inside the
shape and type the text in the ‘Text Box’.

Using Colour picker Tool

Using the Colour Picker tool, we can select colour from an object to fi ll it in another
object. Follow these steps to learn how to use this tool.

1. Draw a triangle using the ‘Triangle’ tool.
2. Use the Fill with colour tool to fi ll colour in the triangle.

3. Draw another object like a square using the ‘Rectangle’ tool next to the triangle.
